Immortal MARZ-O-RIN

Apart from being located in a construction which is over 100 years old and being featured on MTV, Marz-o-rin is one of those places Pune has that holds a special place for mummas, papas, elder siblings, and kids too…! Miraculously manages to connect to all ages, wondering how….well so am I…!

Marz-o-rin is proudly one of the first fast food joint at Pune, it offers a wide variety of sandwiches, rolls, thick shakes, juices, spaghetti and burgers. Also have whole wheat bread alternatives for the health conscious. The variants available are all light on the pocket that makes it a fav. With teens and the student body as a whole…coming to the ambience it’s located on M.G. Road, the banner has been changed recently, you can’t really miss it, and the ambience is pretty much chilled out. The now operating balcony seating area gives a much laid back, “do- your- own- thing” kind of a feel.

A perfect place for meeting an old friend, an safe place to have a blind date (out of personal experience), Self service, affordable eating, assured availability of items and a sure shot hit with the frantic shoppers at MG. A must visit simply for the ‘brown chicken zoom sand.’, ‘cold coffee’, ‘spaghetti’, and ‘guava juice’.

Final tip: whenever you cross the area do not bother thinking before entering; all attires-ages-income groups-people are always welcome..!

Not just the ‘Ajab Prem Ki Gazab Kahani..’ fame…this café is the real shaan as they say of the new age Pune. A double-decker red bus awaits you to enter and feel like you are walking on a London street…therefore rightly called 11 East Street Café. As the name suggests it is located at east street, camp; the place shot to fame with the ambience, the hukah, and the variety of cuisines it made available.

11 east street café is the place to be if you have friends coming over from outside pune. Its collaboration with ‘Sheetal Arch’ brings in the missing Indian appeal, the hukah as well as shamianas that are available for seating. Go there for a sweet date or a family dinner the place won’t let you down. The restaurant offers Indian, Continental, Italian & dishes which are national favorites. Apart from Global cuisine being served all day, this is the only restaurant in Pune which offers you a cuisine known as "Food Remixed'. It brings to you the best of imported spirits, wines and beers. With an interesting mix of cocktails & cuisines. Do not expect the service to be super fast and the prices are not very pocket friendly keeping these apart a must try is the vodka chocolate mousse, the chicken biryani, lemon iced-tea and spinach cheese balls…! In short; Great Ambience, Good Food, OK Service.

Final tip: Dress up, Load up (your wallet), leave all the tension and live up the place.

Watch this space for more.

What am i upto here...

Calories…guilt….fat….weight…these words spring to existance when I cross a gym or some hot chick makes thinks that its necessary to be thin to be beautiful…as guessed I am a full on khana lover…from midnight desserts to morning pancakes; from mushroom cheese omelets to low cal yucky smoothies…under the name of an assignment I go around the city and try the craziest, spiciest, sweetest n yummiest food Pune’s cafes have to offer..!

So if you’re stuck in a hostel or a PG wondering where to head today, or you are simply bored with a regular office break I may have been all that you 20 some things across Pune, need..!

Briefly I take this as an opportunity to thank those interior designers to create great ambiences in some places, the waiters to add that smile while serving me, the manager of cafes who give me and my friends a couch jaldi se, also to harrow those people who dared to make pathetic snacks, those who screwed my favorites…and those who were ridiculously expensive..!

I bring to you the feel you can get when u walk in a cafe...when u order…when you consume…uncut and uncensored….and since its such a risk being honest these days, why don’t you give me company,I hereby invite your take on the places u have been lately or you would like a review on.

As the cliché goes help me ,help you.!
